I still know what I did when I learned about what happened…

I am from Germany, still, I was as shocked as everyone else…

I did not loose a friend or a relative, but…

I feel with everyone who lost a mother, a father, a sister, a brother, a child, a grandfather, a grandmother, an uncle, an aunt, a nephew, a niece, a cousin, a friend, a loved one…

I have great respect for the firemen and women, police officers, paramedics and other helpers who risked and/or lost their lives…

Although I do not agree with many of the decisions made by the government of the United States, I believe it is necessary to punish those who planned, prepared and executed the plans which made hundred of thousands innocent people suffer.

I know that the terrorist who piloted the airplanes who crashed into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and the terrorist who piloted the machine which was brought down before another attack could be executed, can’t be punished. However, I hope they will burn in hell, even though I do not believe in God.

I know that some of the terrorists who pulled the wires got caught and punished or were killed in firefight.

I hope that the 2,974 people who died as an immediate result of the attacks will rest easier. I hope that their relatives, friends and loved ones have it easier now, but I know it will never be like it was before.

I can’t do much. I can only hope that this article reminds everyone of this cruel day.

I still remember how I came home from school and switched the TV on to watch J.A.G (a series) just to see the news. At first I didn’t believe it, but then I realized: This is not a “joke”. This is real. Those planes did crash into the WTC.

One image I will never forget. The image of people jumping of the World Trade Center.

I do not know why they decided to jump. I only know they made a decision and no one will ever understand their decision.

I do not know how I would have reacted if I would have been in one of the Towers, or even in one of the planes.

I only know when, where and how I learned about what happened.

I still remember my reaction…

I will always mourn the senseless deaths of innocent people…

I will always honor the bravery of those people who tried to help and those who died trying to help…

I will never forget…

If you have no clue about what a Rubik’s Cube is, let me try to explain it.

Wikipedia defines a Rubik’s Cube as followed:

Rubik’s Cube (commonly misspelled rubix, rubick’s or rubics cube) is a mechanical puzzle invented in 1974 by the Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture Ernő Rubik. Originally called the “Magic Cube” by its inventor, this puzzle was renamed “Rubik’s Cube” by Ideal Toys in 1980 and also won the 1980 German “Game of the Year” (Spiel des Jahres) special award for Best Puzzle. It is said to be the world’s best-selling toy, with some 300,000,000 Rubik’s Cubes and imitations sold worldwide.

A Rubik’s Cube has nine square facelets on each side, giving fifty-four facelets in total, and occupies a volume of twenty-seven unit cubes. Typically, the faces of the cube are covered by nine stickers in six solid colours; there is one colour for each side of the cube. When the puzzle is solved, each face of the cube is a solid colour. My friend, Martin K. aka JediKJ, was so kind and put together some trivia about the cube:

• A normal (3×3×3) Rubik’s Cube can have (8! × 38−1) × (12! × 212−1)/2 = 43,252,003,274,489,856,000 different positions
• if every permutation of a Rubik’s Cube was lined up end to end, it would stretch out approximately 261 light years.
• Daniel Kunkle and Gene Cooperman used computer search methods to demonstrate that any 3×3x3 Rubik’s Cube configuration can be solved in a maximum of 26 moves
• In March 1970, Harry D. Nichols invented a 2×2x2 “Puzzle with Pieces Rotatable in Groups” and filed a U.S. patent application for it. Nichols’ cube was held together with magnets. Nichols was granted U.S. Patent 3,655,201 on April 11, 1972, two years before Rubik invented his improved cube.
• Over one hundred million Rubik’s Cubes were sold in the period from 1980 to 1982.
• In 1994, Melinda Green, Don Hatch, and Jay Berkenilt created a model of a 3×3×3×3 four-dimensional analogue of a Rubik’s Cube called the MagicCube4D. Having more possible states than there are atoms in the known universe, only 55 people have solved it as of January 2007
• In 2006, Roice Nelson and Charlie Nevill created a 3×3×3×3×3 five-dimensional model. As of January 2007, it has been solved by only 7 people.

The 1500+ inmates of Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Cebu City, Philippines, do a lot more than just languish in a cell. They have livelihood programs and personal savings accounts, allowing them to earn and save money for legal fees or the families they left behind. Perhaps even more impressive is what they do with the rest of their time: rehearse and perform elaborate parades and dance numbers, like the recreation of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” seen here.

The choreography, the coordination, and the precision are insane. The Rockettes have nothing on these guys.

I like the concept behind it. The inmates are kept busy and they actually see a positive result while working on the whole coordination. Would be interesting if other prisons would copy the concept. I’m wondering how the fall back rate of the inmates is after they are set free again.

Ok, back then when the first ring tone ad was broad casted it was cool, but today they ads are getting worse and worse.
Usually, as soon as I see such an ad on TV I switch the channel because I can’t stand it.

Well, quite a while ago there was a website (unfortunately I lost the bookmark to it) which asked you to join their campaign against those stupid, brain damaging. I don’t remember if I joined them, but I did sign their petition. I don’t know if they had success, if you happen to remember the website I’m talking about, please let me know.

However, on that page you were able to download 4 very funny advertisements, copying the ring tone ads. Yesterday I discovered that I still have these advertisements on my hard drive, so I logged in and uploaded it to YouTube.
